The Peroxiredoxin 1/PAG Antibody (CAB13524) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity towards human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot assays. By binding to the PRDX1 protein, it enables precise detection and analysis in various cell types, making it well-suited for investigations in oxidative stress, cancer biology, and neurodegenerative diseases.PRDX1, also known as peroxiredoxin-1, plays a pivotal role in defending cells against oxidative damage and maintaining cellular health by scavenging harmful reactive oxygen species. Dysregulation of PRDX1 has been linked to various pathologies, including cancer progression, neurodegenerative disorders, and cardiovascular diseases.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse samples.

This gene encodes a member of the peroxiredoxin family of antioxidant enzymes, which reduce hydrogen peroxide and alkyl hydroperoxides. The encoded protein may play an antioxidant protective role in cells, and may contribute to the antiviral activity of CD8(+) T-cells. This protein may have a proliferative effect and play a role in cancer development or progression. Four transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified for this gene.
