PVM Nucleoprotein Recombinant Protein (N-His)
PVM Nucleoprotein Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Ile393, with an N-terminal His tag. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Nucleoprotein is a ~43 kDa protein. Encapsidates the viral RNA genome by forming a left-handed helical nucleocapsid that protects the RNA from nucleases. For research use only.
RNA replication depends on the availability of soluble nucleoprotein. The encapsidated genomic RNA is termed the NC and serves as template for transcription and replication.
