Rat CA2 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Lys260, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 31.28 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Can also hydrate cyanamide to urea. Involved in the regulation of fluid secretion into the anterior chamber of the eye. Essential for bone resorption and osteoclast differentiation. Contributes to intracellular pH regulation in the duodenal upper villous epithelium during proton-coupled peptide absorption.
