The Rat Diamine Oxidase (DAO) ELISA Kit is a specialized assay designed for the precise and quantitative detection of Diamine Oxidase levels in various rat biological samples. Diamine Oxidase is an enzyme that plays a crucial role in the metabolism of histamine and other biogenic amines. As an important element in the gastrointestinal tract, Diamine Oxidase contributes to the detoxification and regulation of histamine levels, influencing various physiological functions. Accurate measurement of Diamine Oxidase with this ELISA kit provides researchers with valuable insights into the enzyme's activity in histamine clearance, inflammatory responses, and gastrointestinal health. By offering exceptional sensitivity and specificity, this kit enables detailed analysis of Diamine Oxidase levels, facilitating investigations into the enzyme's involvement in allergic reactions, gastrointestinal disorders, and immune responses. The Rat DAO ELISA Kit by Assay Genie delivers reliable and reproducible results, empowering researchers to explore the intricate role of Diamine Oxidase across different biological contexts. Manufactured under stringent quality control standards, this kit ensures robust performance and user-friendly protocols, making it an excellent tool for research studies focused on enzymatic activity, histamine regulation, and gastrointestinal physiology.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to the target protein. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and bind to the immobilized antibody. A biotinylated detection antibody specific to the target protein is then added, followed by Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well, resulting in a color change. Only wells containing the target protein, detection antibody, and HRP conjugate will develop a blue color. The reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution, resulting in a yellow color. The optical density (OD) is measured at 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is directly proportional to the concentration of the target protein in the sample and is determined using a standard curve.
