The Recombinant AKT Monoclonal Antibody is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody (clone C123241) against AKT. AKT1 is one of 3 closely related serine/threonine-protein kinases (AKT1, AKT2 and AKT3) called the AKT kinase, and which regulate many processes including metabolism, proliferation, cell survival, growth and angiogenesis. This is mediated through serine and/or threonine phosphorylation of a range of downstream substrates. Over 100 substrate candidates have been reported so far, but for most of them, no isoform specificity has been reported. Produced by recombinant technology in Rabbit hosts and purified by affinity chromatography, this Rabbit IgG antibody is reactive against Human, Mouse, Rat and Hamster samples.
This antibody is suitable for WB and IHC-P applications. It has been validated by WB analysis of Jurkat, Rat Rat Brain, C6, CHO-K1, Hela and IHC analysis of Human lung cancer.
