The Recombinant AKT1 Monoclonal Antibody is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody (clone C121051) against AKT1. The serine-threonine protein kinase AKT1 is catalytically inactive in serum-starved primary and immortalized fibroblasts. AKT1 and the related AKT2 are activated by platelet-derived growth factor. The activation is rapid and specific, and it is abrogated by mutations in the pleckstrin homology domain of AKT1. Produced by recombinant technology in Rabbit hosts and purified by Protein A affinity chromatography, this Rabbit IgG antibody is reactive against Human, Mouse and Rat samples.
This antibody is suitable for WB and IHC applications. It has been validated by WB analysis of MCF-7, PC-3, Mouse testis, Rat testis and IHC analysis of Human prostate, Mouse brain, Rat brain. The target is localized to the cytoplasm, membrane, nucleus.
