The Recombinant Bcl-2 Monoclonal Antibody is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody (clone C110027) against BCL2. This gene encodes an integral outer mitochondrial membrane protein that blocks the apoptotic death of some cells such as lymphocytes. Constitutive expression of BCL2, such as in the case of translocation of BCL2 to Ig heavy chain locus, is thought to be the cause of follicular lymphoma. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Produced by recombinant technology in Rabbit hosts and purified by Protein A affinity chromatography, this Rabbit IgG antibody is reactive against Human, Mouse and Rat samples.
This antibody is suitable for WB, IHC, IF and ELISA applications. It has been validated by WB analysis of A431, HepG2, Jurkat, HL-60, RAW 264.7, Mouse brain, Mouse spleen and IHC analysis of Human tonsil. The target is localized to the mitochondrion outer membrane, nucleus membrane, cytoplasm.
