Recombinant BRG1 Monoclonal Antibody

The Recombinant BRG1 Monoclonal Antibody is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody (clone C710514) against BRG1. The protein encoded by this gene is a member ofThe SWI/SNF family of proteins and is similar toThe brahma protein of Drosophila. Members of this family have helicase and ATPase activities and are thought to regulate transcription of certain genes by alteringThe chromatin structure around those genes. The encoded protein is part ofThe large ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling complex SNF/SWI, which is required for transcriptional activation of genes normally repressed by chromatin. In addition, this protein can bind BRCA1, as well as regulateThe expression ofThe tumorigenic protein CD44. Produced by recombinant technology in Rabbit hosts and purified by Protein A affinity chromatography, this Rabbit IgG antibody is reactive against Human and Rat samples.

This antibody is suitable for WB, IHC, IF and ELISA applications. It has been validated by WB analysis of C6 and IHC analysis of Human breast carcinoma. The target is localized to the nucleus.
