Recombinant Creatine kinase B type Monoclonal Antibody
The Recombinant Creatine kinase B type Monoclonal Antibody is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody (clone C111584) against Creatine kinase B type. Creatine Kinase, an enzyme important for energy metabolism in cells of high and fluctuating energy requirements, catalyses the reversible transfer of a phosphoryl goup from phosphocreatine to ADP. CK isoenzymes play a central role in energy transduction in tissues with large, fluctuating energy demands, such as skeletal muscle, heart, brain and spermatozoa. Inactivation of creatine kinase by gliotoxin was accompanied by the formation of a 37 kDa form of the enzyme. This oxidized form of creatine kinase was rapidly reconverted to the 42-kDa species by the addition of reducing agents concomitant with restoration of activity. Produced by recombinant technology in Rabbit hosts and purified by Protein A affinity chromatography, this Rabbit IgG antibody is reactive against Human, Mouse and Rat samples.
This antibody is suitable for WB, IHC-P, ICC/IF and FC applications. It has been validated by WB analysis of K562, C6, HeLa, Rat brain, Mouse brain, IHC analysis of Human breast and IF analysis of HeLa. The target is localized to the cytoplasm, mitochondrion.
