The Recombinant EHMT1 Monoclonal Antibody is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody (clone C331320) against EHMT1. Histone methyltransferase that specifically mono- and dimethylates 'Lys-9' of histone H3 (H3K9me1 and H3K9me2, respectively) in euchromatin. H3K9me represents a specific tag for epigenetic transcriptional repression by recruiting HP1 proteins to methylated histones. Also weakly methylates 'Lys-27' of histone H3 (H3K27me). Produced by recombinant technology in Rabbit hosts and purified by Protein A affinity chromatography, this Rabbit IgG antibody is reactive against Human samples.
This antibody is suitable for WB applications. It has been validated by WB analysis of MCF7, T-47D, SK-BR-3, HeLa. The target is localized to the chromosome, nucleus.
