Recombinant eIF3B Monoclonal Antibody

The Recombinant eIF3B Monoclonal Antibody is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody (clone C171136) against eIF3B. RNA-binding component of the eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 (eIF-3) complex, which is required for several steps in the initiation of protein synthesis. The eIF-3 complex associates with the 40S ribosome and facilitates the recruitment of eIF-1, eIF-1A, eIF-2: GTP:methionyl-tRNAi and eIF-5 to form the 43S pre-initiation complex (43S PIC). The eIF-3 complex stimulates mRNA recruitment to the 43S PIC and scanning of the mRNA for AUG recognition. Produced by recombinant technology in Rabbit hosts and purified by Protein A affinity chromatography, this Rabbit IgG antibody is reactive against Human, Mouse and Rat samples.

This antibody is suitable for WB, ICC/IF and FC applications. It has been validated by WB analysis of Raji, COS-7, 3T3, HeLa and IF analysis of HeLa, Raji. The target is localized to the cytoplasm.
