The Recombinant eIF4E Monoclonal Antibody is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody (clone C110292) against eIF4E. The protein encoded by this gene is a component of the eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4F complex, which recognizes the 7-methylguanosine cap structure at the 5' end of messenger RNAs. The encoded protein aids in translation initiation by recruiting ribosomes to the 5'-cap structure. Association of this protein with the 4F complex is the rate-limiting step in translation initiation. Produced by recombinant technology in Rabbit hosts and purified by Protein A affinity chromatography, this Rabbit IgG antibody is reactive against Human, Mouse and Rat samples.
This antibody is suitable for WB, IHC, IF, IP and ELISA applications. It has been validated by WB analysis of 293T, HeLa, K562, MCF-7, NIH/3T3, Raw264.7, C2C12, PC-12, C6, Rat testis. The target is localized to the cytoplasm, nucleus.
