Recombinant Gemin 2 Monoclonal Antibody

The Recombinant Gemin 2 Monoclonal Antibody is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody (clone C131375) against Gemin 2. Gem-associated protein 2 (Gemin 2), also called survival of motor neuron protein-interacting protein 1 (SIP1), is a protein that in humans is encoded by the GEMIN2 gene. Gemin 2 has been shown to interact with DDX20 and SMN1. The SMN complex catalyzes the assembly of small nuclear ribonucleoproteins (snRNPs), the building blocks of the spliceosome, and thereby plays an important role in the splicing of cellular pre-mRNAs. Produced by recombinant technology in Rabbit hosts and purified by Protein A affinity chromatography, this Rabbit IgG antibody is reactive against Human, Mouse and Rat samples.

This antibody is suitable for WB applications. It has been validated by WB analysis of HepG2, U-2 OS, F9, Rat testis. The target is localized to the cytoplasm, nucleus.
