The Recombinant GFAP Monoclonal Antibody is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody (clone C110100) against GFAP. This gene encodes one of the major intermediate filament proteins of mature astrocytes. It is used as a marker to distinguish astrocytes from other glial cells during development. Mutations in this gene cause Alexander disease, a rare disorder of astrocytes in the central nervous system. Produced by recombinant technology in Rabbit hosts and purified by Protein A affinity chromatography, this Rabbit IgG antibody is reactive against Human, Mouse and Rat samples.
This antibody is suitable for WB, IHC-P, ICC/IF, FC and IP applications. It has been validated by WB analysis of U-251, Mouse brain, Rat brain and IHC analysis of Human Glioma, Mouse brain, Rat brain.
