Human CD153/CD30L/TNFSF8 Recombinant Protein

CD30L (CD30 ligand), also known as CD153 and TNFSF8, is a membrane-associated glycoprotein of the TNF/TNFR superfamily. CD30L (also known as TNFRSF8) is a targeted ligand for CD30/TNFRSF8 that was originally characterized as a cell surface antigen and a marker for Hodgkin lymphoma and related haematological diseases. CD30L is a type-II membrane glycoprotein that can be found on activated T cells, stimulated monocyte-macrophages, granulocytes, eosinophils, and some Burkitt-like lymphoma cell lines. CD30L transduces signals through CD30 on different CD30+ lymphoma cell lines, and it mediates pleiotropic biologic effects including cell proliferation, activation, differentiation, and apoptosis. The CD30-CD30 ligand binding has been postulated to have a pathophysiological function in malignant lymphomas, particularly Hodgkin disease, large cell anaplastic lymphoma and Burkitt lymphoma, as well as the T cell-dependent immune response activation and functioning. Thus, CD153 and its receptor CD30 are regarded as therapeutic targets in hematologic malignancies, autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. Human CD153/CD30L/TNFSF8 Recombinant Protein is a highly pure recombinant protein developed by Assay Genie for use in a range of applications.
