Human CD47 Recombinant Protein

CD47 contains 1 Ig-like V-type (immunoglobulin-like) domain and is a receptor for the C-terminal cell-binding domain of thrombospondin. CD47 may help to regulate membrane transport and signal transmission. CD47 is involved in the elevation of intracellular calcium concentration that occurs when cells bind to the extracellular matrix. It is widely distributed on normal adult tissues; it is particularly common in some epithelias and the brain. CD47 may play a role in membrane transport and/or integrin dependent signal transduction. CD47 may prevent the premature elimination of red blood cells. It may be linked to cell membrane permeability changes that result from viral infection. CD47 serves as a cell adhesion receptor for THBS1 on platelets, and it also plays a role in the regulation of integrins. It also plays an important role in memory formation and synaptic plasticity in the hippocampus. Human CD47 Recombinant Protein is a highly pure recombinant protein developed by Assay Genie for use in a range of applications.
