Cystathionine gamma-Lyase Recombinant Protein

Cystathionine Gamma-Lyase (CTH) belongs to the trans-sulfuration enzymes family. CTH exists as a homotetramer and interacts with CALM in a calcium-dependent manner. 2-oxobutanoate and ammonia are formed when CTTH breaks down cystathionine. CTH catalyzes the last step in the trans-sulfuration pathway from methionine to cysteine and has broad substrate specificity. Cystathioninurias is an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by abnormal accumulation of plasma cystathionine, as a result of abnormalities in CTH. Cystathionine gamma-Lyase Recombinant Protein is a highly pure recombinant protein developed by Assay Genie for use in a range of applications.
