Human Insulin Recombinant Protein
Following the removal of the precursor signal peptide, proinsulin is cleaved into three fragments: the B chain and A chain peptides, which are linked via two disulfide bonds to form insulin, and C-peptide. Insulin binds to the insulin receptor (INSR) and stimulates glucose uptake.
