Human PTPN2/PTPT Recombinant Protein

Tyrosine-protein phosphatase non-receptor type 2; also known as T-cell protein-tyrosine phosphatase, PTPN2 and PTPT; is a cytoplasmic protein in the protein-tyrosine phosphatase family and Non-receptor class 1 subfamily. Protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family members share a highly conserved catalytic motif, which is required for catalysis. The protein PTPN2 is a cytosolic tyrosine phosphatase that serves as a negative regulator of several tyrosine kinases and other signaling molecules. PTPN2 is a tumor suppressor and may influence treatment response. PTPs are believed to be signaling molecules that control a variety of cellular functions, including cell growth, differentiation, mitosis, and oncogenic transformation. Epidermal growth factor receptor and the adaptor protein Shc were reported to be substrates of this PTP; which suggested the roles in growth factor mediated cell signaling. PTPN2 is a protein that is critical for the proper operation of the immune system and cell growth control, as well as inflammation. PTPN2 was identified as a negative regulator of NUP214-ABL1 kinase activity. Human PTPN2/PTPT Recombinant Protein is a highly pure recombinant protein developed by Assay Genie for use in a range of applications.
