Sulfotransferase 4A1/SULT4A1 Recombinant Protein

Sulfotransferase 4A1 (ST4A1) is a member of the Sulfotransferase 1 family. The ST4A1 gene is highly expressed in the cerebral cortex and frontal lobe, but it is not present in the pancreas. The ST4A1 enzyme is a brain-specific sulfotransferase thought to be involved with neurotransmitter metabolism. ST4A1 has an effect on catecholamines and T4 without the need for sulfonation. The involvement of ST4A1 in the metabolism of medicines and neurotransmitters in the brain has been investigated. ST4A1 is also linked to schizophrenia. Sulfotransferase 4A1/SULT4A1 Recombinant Protein is a highly pure recombinant protein developed by Assay Genie for use in a range of applications.
