Recombinant MAP2 Monoclonal Antibody

The Recombinant MAP2 Monoclonal Antibody is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody (clone C110253) against MAP2. This gene encodes a protein that belongs to the microtubule-associated protein family. The proteins of this family are thought to be involved in microtubule assembly, which is an essential step in neurogenesis. The products of similar genes in rat and mouse are neuron-specific cytoskeletal proteins that are enriched in dentrites, implicating a role in determining and stabilizing dentritic shape during neuron development. Produced by recombinant technology in Rabbit hosts and purified by Protein A affinity chromatography, this Rabbit IgG antibody is reactive against Human, Mouse and Rat samples.

This antibody is suitable for WB, IHC, IF and ELISA applications. It has been validated by WB analysis of Neuro-2a. The target is localized to the cytoplasm, cytoskeleton, cell projection, dendrite.
