The Recombinant Moesin Monoclonal Antibody is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody (clone C123265) against Moesin. Moesin (for membrane-organizing extension spike protein) is a member of the ERM family which includes ezrin and radixin. ERM proteins appear to function as cross-linkers between plasma membranes and actin-based cytoskeletons. Moesin is localized to filopodia and other membranous protrusions that are important for cell-cell recognition and signaling and for cell movement. Produced by recombinant technology in Rabbit hosts and purified by affinity chromatography, this Rabbit IgG antibody is reactive against Human, Mouse, Rat and Hamster samples.
This antibody is suitable for WB and IHC-P applications. It has been validated by WB analysis of CHO-K1, C6, Jurkat and IHC analysis of Human lung cancer. The target is localized to the Cell membrane. Cytoplasm>cytoskeleton. Apical cell membrane. Cell projection>microvillus membrane. Phosphorylated form is enriched in microvilli-like structures at apical membrane (By similarity). Increased cell membrane localization of both phosphorylated and non-phosphorylated forms seen after thrombin treatment.
