The Recombinant TAF1C Monoclonal Antibody is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody (clone C330387) against TAF1C. Initiation of transcription by RNA polymerase I requires the formation of a complex composed of the TATA-binding protein (TBP) and three TBP-associated factors (TAFs) specific for RNA polymerase I. This complex, known as SL1, binds to the core promoter of ribosomal RNA genes to position the polymerase properly and acts as a channel for regulatory signals. This gene encodes the largest SL1-specific TAF. Produced by recombinant technology in Rabbit hosts and purified by Protein A affinity chromatography, this Rabbit IgG antibody is reactive against Human samples.
This antibody is suitable for WB and IP applications. It has been validated by WB analysis of HT-1080. The target is localized to the nucleus, nucleolus.
