Recombinant Transferrin Receptor 1 Monoclonal Antibody

The Recombinant Transferrin Receptor 1 Monoclonal Antibody is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody (clone C373276) against Transferrin Receptor 1. CD71, also known as transferrin receptor protein 1 (TfR1), is a transmembrane glycoprotein composed of two disulfide-linked monomers, each of 90 kDa molecular weight. Each monomer binds one holo-transferrin molecule creating an iron-Tf-TfR complex which enters the cell by endocytosis. CD71 is present on actively proliferating cells and is essential for iron transport into proliferating cells. Produced by recombinant technology in Rabbit hosts and purified by affinity chromatography, this Rabbit IgG antibody is reactive against Human samples.

This antibody is suitable for WB and IF applications. It has been validated by WB analysis of K562, Hela and IF analysis of Hela. The target is localized to the Secreted and Cell membrane. Melanosome. Identified by mass spectrometry in melanosome fractions from stage I to stage IV.
