Description
SARS-CoV-2 N Recombinant Protein (C-His)
SARS-CoV-2 N Recombinant Protein (C-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in mammalian cells, spanning Ser2-Ala419, with a C-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 49.04 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Nucleoprotein (NP) is a ~45 kDa protein. Packages the positive strand viral genome RNA into a helical ribonucleocapsid (RNP) and plays a fundamental role during virion assembly through its interactions with the viral genome and membrane protein M. For research use only.
Plays an important role in enhancing the efficiency of subgenomic viral RNA transcription as well as viral replication. Attenuates the stress granules formation by reducing host G3BP1 access to host mRNAs under stress conditions.
