Setoxaximab Antibody is a research-grade biosimilar monoclonal antibody targeting shiga toxin type 2stx2A. It is a chimeric IgG1-kappa antibody. Reactivity: Escherichia coli. Supplied as a liquid in 0.01M PBS pH 7.4. Applications: ELISA, flow cytometry, functional assays and in vivo research. Endotoxin: < 10 EU/mg. Purity: >95% purity as determined by SDS-PAGE. For research use only.
Shiga-like toxin 2 subunit A (shiga toxin type 2Astx2A) is a ~35 kDa protein. The A subunit is responsible for inhibiting protein synthesis through the catalytic inactivation of 60S ribosomal subunits. After endocytosis, the A subunit is cleaved by furin in two fragments, A1 and A2: A1 is the catalytically active fragment, and A2 is essential for holotoxin assembly with the B subunits.
