VACV E9L Recombinant Protein (N-Strep)
VACV E9L Recombinant Protein (N-Strep) is a recombinant protein expressed in insect cells, spanning Asp2-Ala1006, with an N-terminal Strep tag. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. DNA polymerase is a ~116 kDa protein. Catalyzes DNA synthesis. For research use only.
Acquires processivity by associating with a heterodimeric processivity factor comprised of the viral OPG148/A20 and OPG116/D4 proteins, thereby forming the DNA polymerase holoenzyme. Displays 3'- to 5' exonuclease activity. Might participate in viral DNA recombination. Does not perform OPG116/D4synthesis across an abasic site.
