The BPIFA1 Antibody (CAB8634) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody is produced in rabbits and exhibits high reactivity with human samples, making it suitable for Western blot applications. By specifically binding to the BPIFA1 protein, researchers can accurately detect and analyze its expression in various cell types, making it an excellent choice for studies in respiratory biology and infectious disease research.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Mouse, Rat samples.

This gene is the human homolog of murine plunc, and like the mouse gene, is specifically expressed in the upper airways and nasopharyngeal regions. The encoded antimicrobial protein displays antibacterial activity against Gram-negative bacteria. It is thought to be involved in inflammatory responses to irritants in the upper airways and may also serve as a potential molecular marker for detection of micrometastasis in non-small-cell lung cancer. Multiple transcript variants resulting from alternative splicing in the 3' UTR have been detected, but the full-length nature of only three are known.
