Description
CA16 Protease 3C Recombinant Protein (N-His)
CA16 Protease 3C Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Gly1549-Gln1731, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 22.32 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Genome polyprotein (P3C/Protease 3C) is a ~243 kDa protein. Forms an icosahedral capsid of pseudo T=3 symmetry with capsid proteins VP2 and VP3. For research use only.
The capsid is 300 Angstroms in diameter, composed of 60 copies of each capsid protein and enclosing the viral positive strand RNA genome. Capsid protein VP1 mainly forms the vertices of the capsid. Capsid protein VP1 interacts with host cell receptor to provide virion attachment to target host cells. This attachment induces virion internalization.
