The CPB1 Antibody (CAB10486) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding specifically to carboxypeptidase B, this antibody enables the detection and analysis of the enzyme in various cell types, making it ideal for studies in enzymology, protein degradation pathways, and biomedical research.Carboxypeptidase B is known for its role in peptide cleavage and protein digestion, making it a key player in processes such as food digestion and protein turnover within cells.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat samples.

Three different procarboxypeptidases A and two different procarboxypeptidases B have been isolated. The B1 and B2 forms differ from each other mainly in isoelectric point. Carboxypeptidase B1 is a highly tissue-specific protein and is a useful serum marker for acute pancreatitis and dysfunction of pancreatic transplants. It is not elevated in pancreatic carcinoma.
