The CPOX Antibody (CAB3807) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific and reactive with human samples, making it ideal for a variety of applications such as Western blotting and immunohistochemistry.CPOX is essential for the production of heme, a molecule involved in various biological processes including oxygen transport, energy production, and drug metabolism. Dysregulation of CPOX activity has been linked to diseases such as porphyria, a group of metabolic disorders characterized by the accumulation of heme precursors.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat samples.

The protein encoded by this gene is the sixth enzyme of the heme biosynthetic pathway. The encoded enzyme is soluble and found in the intermembrane space of mitochondria. This enzyme catalyzes the stepwise oxidative decarboxylation of coproporphyrinogen III to protoporphyrinogen IX, a precursor of heme. Defects in this gene are a cause of hereditary coproporphyria (HCP).
