HAdV-2 E1B-19K Recombinant Protein (N-GST & C-His)
HAdV-2 E1B-19K Recombinant Protein (N-GST & C-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ser35-His108, with an N-terminal GST tag and a C-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 36.67 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. E1B protein, small T-antigen (E1B-19K) is a ~20 kDa protein. Putative adenovirus Bcl-2 homolog that inhibits apoptosis induced by TNF or FAS pathways, as well as p53-mediated apoptosis. For research use only.
Without E1B 19K function, virus production is compromised because of premature death of host cell. Interacts with Bax protein in cell lysates.
