Description
Human ACOT7 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human ACOT7 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Gly52-Pro380, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 38.69 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Cytosolic acyl coenzyme A thioester hydrolase (ACOT7) is a ~41 kDa protein. Catalyzes the hydrolysis of acyl-CoAs into free fatty acids and coenzyme A (CoASH), regulating their respective intracellular levels. For research use only.
Preferentially hydrolyzes palmitoyl-CoA, but has a broad specificity acting on other fatty acyl-CoAs with chain-lengths of C8-C18. May play an important physiological function in brain.
