Description
Human ADH7 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human ADH7 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Gly17-Phe386, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 41.94 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. All-trans-retinol dehydrogenase [NAD(+)] ADH7 is a ~41 kDa protein. Catalyzes the NAD-dependent oxidation of all-trans-retinol, alcohol, and omega-hydroxy fatty acids and their derivatives. For research use only.
Oxidizes preferentially all trans-retinol, all-trans-4-hydroxyretinol, 9-cis-retinol, 2-hexenol, and long chain omega-hydroxy fatty acids such as juniperic acid. In vitro can also catalyze the NADH-dependent reduction of all-trans-retinal and aldehydes and their derivatives. Reduces preferentially all trans-retinal, all-trans-4-oxoretinal and hexanal. Catalyzes in the oxidative direction with higher efficiency.
