Description
Human AP3M1 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human AP3M1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Val247, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 30.09 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. AP-3 complex subunit mu-1 (AP3M1) is a ~46 kDa protein. Part of the AP-3 complex, an adaptor-related complex which is not clathrin-associated. For research use only.
The complex is associated with the Golgi region as well as more peripheral structures. It facilitates the budding of vesicles from the Golgi membrane and may be directly involved in trafficking to lysosomes. In concert with the BLOC-1 complex, AP-3 is required to target cargos into vesicles assembled at cell bodies for delivery into neurites and nerve terminals.
