Human ASH2L Recombinant Protein (N-His)

Human ASH2L Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met430-Pro628, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 24.81 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Set1/Ash2 histone methyltransferase complex subunit ASH2 (ASH2L) is a ~68 kDa protein. Transcriptional regulator. For research use only.

Component or associated component of some histone methyltransferase complexes which regulates transcription through recruitment of those complexes to gene promoters. Component of the Set1/Ash2 histone methyltransferase (HMT) complex, a complex that specifically methylates 'Lys-4' of histone H3, but not if the neighboring 'Lys-9' residue is already methylated. As part of the MLL1/MLL complex it is involved in methylation and dimethylation at 'Lys-4' of histone H3. May play a role in hematopoiesis.
