Description
Human ATP2A2 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human ATP2A2 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ile315-Met756, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 50.52 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Sarcoplasmic/endoplasmic reticulum calcium ATPase 2 (ATP2A2) is a ~114 kDa protein. This magnesium-dependent enzyme catalyzes the hydrolysis of ATP coupled with the translocation of calcium from the cytosol to the sarcoplasmic reticulum lumen. For research use only.
Involved in autophagy in response to starvation. Upon interaction with VMP1 and activation, controls ER-isolation membrane contacts for autophagosome formation. Also modulates ER contacts with lipid droplets, mitochondria and endosomes. In coordination with FLVCR2 mediates heme-stimulated switching from mitochondrial ATP synthesis to thermogenesis.
