Description
Human BCS1L Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human BCS1L Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Thr166-Arg419, with an N-terminal His tag. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Mitochondrial chaperone BCS1 is a ~47 kDa protein. Chaperone necessary for the incorporation of Rieske iron-sulfur protein UQCRFS1 into the mitochondrial respiratory chain complex III. For research use only.
Plays an important role in the maintenance of mitochondrial tubular networks, respiratory chain assembly and formation of the LETM1 complex. 1. de Lonlay, P. et al. (2001) Nature genetics 29, 57-60.
