Description
Human BUB1B Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human BUB1B Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ser724-Gln1050, with an N-terminal His tag. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Mitotic checkpoint serine/threonine-protein kinase BUB1 beta is a ~119 kDa protein. Essential component of the mitotic checkpoint. For research use only.
Required for normal mitosis progression. The mitotic checkpoint delays anaphase until all chromosomes are properly attached to the mitotic spindle. One of its checkpoint functions is to inhibit the activity of the anaphase-promoting complex/cyclosome (APC/C) by blocking the binding of CDC20 to APC/C, independently of its kinase activity. The other is to monitor kinetochore activities that depend on the kinetochore motor CENPE.
