Human C2 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ile245-His451, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 25.79 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Complement C2 is a ~83 kDa protein. Precursor of the catalytic component of the C3 and C5 convertase complexes, which are part of the complement pathway, a cascade of proteins that leads to phagocytosis and breakdown of pathogens and signaling that strengthens the adaptive immune system.
