Human CAPN1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Gly27-Ser360, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 39.97 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Calpain-1 catalytic subunit is a ~81 kDa protein. Calcium-regulated non-lysosomal thiol-protease which catalyzes limited proteolysis of substrates involved in cytoskeletal remodeling and signal transduction. For research use only.
Proteolytically cleaves CTBP1 at 'Asn-375', 'Gly-387' and 'His-409'. Cleaves and activates caspase-7 (CASP7).
