Human CCK Recombinant Protein (N-GST)
Human CCK Recombinant Protein (N-GST) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Gln21-Ser115, with an N-terminal GST tag. Predicted molecular weight: 37.57 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Cholecystokinin (CCK) is a ~12 kDa protein. This peptide hormone induces gall bladder contraction and the release of pancreatic enzymes in the gut. For research use only.
Its function in the brain is not clear. Binding to CCK-A receptors stimulates amylase release from the pancreas, binding to CCK-B receptors stimulates gastric acid secretion.
