Description
Human CD243/ABCB1 Recombinant Protein (N-GST)
Human CD243/ABCB1 Recombinant Protein (N-GST) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Phe394-Val672, with an N-terminal GST tag. Predicted molecular weight: 57.72 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. ATP-dependent translocase ABCB1 (CD243) is a ~141 kDa protein. Translocates drugs and phospholipids across the membrane. For research use only.
Catalyzes the flop of phospholipids from the cytoplasmic to the exoplasmic leaflet of the apical membrane. Participates mainly to the flop of phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylethanolamine, beta-D-glucosylceramides and sphingomyelins. Energy-dependent efflux pump responsible for decreased drug accumulation in multidrug-resistant cells.
