Description
Human CD2AP Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human CD2AP Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Glu166, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 21.48 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. CD2-associated protein is a ~71 kDa protein. Seems to act as an adapter protein between membrane proteins and the actin cytoskeleton. For research use only.
In collaboration with CBLC, modulates the rate of RET turnover and may act as regulatory checkpoint that limits the potency of GDNF on neuronal survival. Controls CBLC function, converting it from an inhibitor to a promoter of RET degradation. May play a role in receptor clustering and cytoskeletal polarity in the junction between T-cell and antigen-presenting cell. May anchor the podocyte slit diaphragm to the actin cytoskeleton in renal glomerolus.
