Description
Human CD49b/ITGA2 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human CD49b/ITGA2 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ser651-Ala936, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 34.02 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Integrin alpha-2 (CD49b/ITGA2) is a ~129 kDa protein. Integrin alpha-2/beta-1 is a receptor for laminin, collagen, collagen C-propeptides, fibronectin and E-cadherin. For research use only.
It recognizes the proline-hydroxylated sequence G-F-P-G-E-R in collagen. It is responsible for adhesion of platelets and other cells to collagens, modulation of collagen and collagenase gene expression, force generation and organization of newly synthesized extracellular matrix.
