Human CD74 Recombinant Protein (C-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in mammalian cells, spanning Gln73-Met232, with a C-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 20.87 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. HLA class II histocompatibility antigen gamma chain (CD74) is a ~33 kDa protein. Plays a critical role in MHC class II antigen processing by stabilizing peptide-free class II alpha/beta heterodimers in a complex soon after their synthesis and directing transport of the complex from the endoplasmic reticulum to the endosomal/lysosomal system where the antigen processing and binding of antigenic peptides to MHC class II takes place.
