Description
Human CD75/ST6GAL1 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human CD75/ST6GAL1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Lys27-Cys406, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 45.86 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Beta-galactoside alpha-2,6-sialyltransferase 1 (CD75/ST6GAL1) is a ~46 kDa protein. Transfers sialic acid from CMP-sialic acid to galactose-containing acceptor substrates. For research use only.
In B lymphocytes, generates neuraminidase-sensitive lymphocyte cell-surface differentiation antigens, such as CDw75, HB-6 and CD76. Sialylates complex-type N-glycans attached on the fragment crystallizable (Fc) of IgGs confering anti-inflammatory effector functions. Preferentially monosialylates the alpha(1->3) mannose antenna of Fc glycoforms with subsequent disialylation occurring at a much slower rate.
