Human CES3 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human CES3 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Thr27-Leu571, with an N-terminal His tag. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Carboxylesterase 3 is a ~62 kDa protein. Involved in the detoxification of xenobiotics and in the activation of ester and amide prodrugs. For research use only.
Shows low catalytic efficiency for hydrolysis of CPT-11 (7-ethyl-10-[4-(1-piperidino)-1-piperidino]-carbonyloxycamptothecin), a prodrug for camptothecin used in cancer therapeutics.
