Description
Human CLCN7 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human CLCN7 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Phe597-Thr805, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 26.25 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. H(+)/Cl(-) exchange transporter 7 (CLCN7) is a ~88 kDa protein. Slowly voltage-gated channel mediating the exchange of chloride ions against protons. For research use only.
Functions as antiporter and contributes to the acidification of the lysosome lumen and may be involved in maintaining lysosomal pH. The CLC channel family contains both chloride channels and proton-coupled anion transporters that exchange chloride or another anion for protons. The presence of conserved gating glutamate residues is typical for family members that function as antiporters.
