Description
Human CRTC3 Recombinant Protein (N-GST)
Human CRTC3 Recombinant Protein (N-GST) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Phe103, with an N-terminal GST tag. Predicted molecular weight: 38.5 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. CREB-regulated transcription coactivator 3 (CRTC3) is a ~66 kDa protein. Transcriptional coactivator for CREB1 which activates transcription through both consensus and variant cAMP response element (CRE) sites. For research use only.
Acts as a coactivator, in the SIK/TORC signaling pathway, being active when dephosphorylated and acts independently of CREB1 'Ser-133' phosphorylation. Enhances the interaction of CREB1 with TAF4. Regulates the expression of specific CREB-activated genes such as the steroidogenic gene, StAR. Potent coactivator of PPARGC1A and inducer of mitochondrial biogenesis in muscle cells.
